Dodd-Frank Becomes Law: New Requirements for Public Companies

It’s official—the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act was signed into law today by President Obama. The vast majority of the 2,300-page Dodd-Frank Act relates to the banking and financial services industry. However, the Act also addresses several significant topics that are specific to public companies, including say on pay, proxy access and the applicability of SOX 404(b) to smaller issuers.
