SEC Amends Disclosure Requirements for the 2010 Reporting Season

On Dec. 16, the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) adopted several significant disclosure changes relating to compensation and governance at public companies. These amendments are another step in the continuum of enhanced disclosure requirements that have been implemented over the last several years. The amendments are effective as of Feb. 28, 2010, thus applying to the next Form 10-K and proxy statement of calendar year-end companies.
