André Weiss, a senior partner in New York, represents hedge funds, private equity funds, banks and other financial institutions, and real estate and other businesses in connection with strategic and private equity acquisitions, with a sub-specialty in alternative asset management acquisitions. He also has substantial experience with public and 144A offerings, distressed acquisitions and corporate governance matters. Significant representations include, in the areas of (i) acquisitions and dispositions, matters involving BAWAG P.S.K., Highbridge, LNR, and Horizon Lines, (ii) acquisitions and dispositions of distressed businesses, matters involving Metrocall and D.B. Zwirn, (iii) equity and debt offerings, IPOs for Horizon Lines and Oppenheimer Capital, and (iv) corporate governance, serving as secretary to Toys “R” Us for nine years while at SRZ.
