Back to the Drawing Board: Setbacks Dog the Administrators of Lehman in Europe

In a turn of events that may be a surprise to none, the administration proceedings for Lehman Brothers International, Europe—LBIE—have encountered more stumbling blocks to further delay the distribution of assets to LBIE’s prime brokerage customers.

Please note that this article was written before the November 24, 2009 LBIE offer to enter into the Claim Resolution Agreement, and prior to the December 29, 2009 announcement that LBIE received valid acceptances of the Offer equal to more than than 90 per cent, thereby making the Agreement accepted on that date.
