DC Circuit Delays Order to Vacate Hedge Fund Manager Registration Rule

In an order filed on June 23, 2006, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (the "Court"), on its own motion, delayed its decision of June 23, 2006 to vacate the rule adopted in 2004 by the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Commission") that required managers of hedge funds (meeting the definition of "private funds") to register as investment advisers under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (the "Registration Rule").
