SRZ represented an estate in a tax court case in which the IRS, maintaining that the value of a closely held business was substantially higher than had been reported on an estimated tax return, assessed a tax of $22 million against our client. We were able to settle the matter with minimal change in the initial valuation, resulting in a tax liability of just over $2 million.
