Investment Management Developments - Spring 2005

As reported last year, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission ("GFSC"), which regulates funds and investment managers established in Guernsey, began a consultation in the second half of 2004 on proposals to streamline the approval process for both open-and closed-ended funds aimed at professional, experienced and knowledgeable investors. Following widespread support for its proposals, the new regime was introduced in February 2005 with immediate effect.
