Lawrence S. Goldberg is a partner in the New York office, where he concentrates on finance transactions. He regularly represents hedge funds, private equity funds, commercial banks and commercial finance companies in acquisition finance, asset-based loans, restructurings, structured finance, second lien and subordinated debt finance and other finance transactions. Larry's work includes representation of both lenders and borrowers, and he has developed substantial expertise in credit facilities to hedge funds, intercreditor agreements, the restructure of credit facilities to portfolio companies of private equity funds and hedge funds and credit facilities to high-net-worth individuals. He also serves as chairman of the firm's opinion committee.
Larry's many professional affiliations include membership in the UCC Committee of the Section of Business Law of the American Bar Association, the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, the New York City Bar Association, the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, the New York State Bar Association, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Board of Directors of New York Center for Law and Justice. He received his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Hobart College in 1975, and was awarded a J.D. in 1978 from the University at Buffalo Law School, the State University of New York, where he was Publications Editor of the Buffalo Law Review and the recipient of a Scribes Award.
