We represented Monday Properties in its purchase, through a joint venture with the Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds, a family of opportunistic real estate funds sponsored and managed by Goldman Sachs, of 230 Park Avenue (f.k.a. the Helmsley Building), one of the world’s most distinguished landmarks. The 34-story building was once the headquarters for Cornelius Vanderbilt’s New York Central Railroad Co. We also negotiated the joint venture agreement.
