SRZ Successfully Represents ABS in a Non-Controlling/Non-Voting Minority Acquisition by Evercore

SRZ represented ABS Investment Management LLC, an institutionally focused equity long/short hedge fund-of-funds manager, in Evercore Partners Inc.’s $45 million purchase of a non-controlling stake in ABS. After the transaction, Evercore, a leading independent investment banking advisory firm, holds 45 percent of ABS, while 55 percent continues to be held by ABS’ founders and employees. The deal closed on Dec. 29, 2011. The SRZ team included partners Philippe Benedict, Steven J. Fredman, Christopher S. Harrison and André Weiss, and associates Lauren DeMasi and Lane Verlenden.
