In the third quarter of 2008 SRZ commissioned mergermarket to interview 50 senior corporate executives and activist investors. The result is a report highlighting current trends in activist investing and providing an outlook for activist investing in the year ahead.

Respondents were asked questions on key sectors for activism, offensive and defensive strategies, catalysts for going active, derivative/swap interests and much more. Nearly three quarters (72%) of all activist investors responding to the survey expect the shareholder activism to grow over the next 12 months.
