Submission of Form ADV Part I with the SEC by December 16

We remind our hedge fund manager clients who must register with the SEC due to the new registration requirements that they should plan to submit Part 1 of their Form ADV registration statement to the SEC by December 16. New Rule 203(b)(3)-2 and related amendments to Rule 203(b)(3)-1 under the Advisers Act require most hedge fund managers to register with the SEC and to have their registration declared effective by February 1, 2006.  In order to ensure that an adviser's registration is declared effective by February 1, 2006, it may be necessary to submit the Form ADV Part 1 by December 16.
