There are three environmental liability questions that are asked of us in every business and real estate transaction: Are there significant environmental problems? Can we estimate the cost? Can we resolve the issues? With experience in virtually every industrial sector, we have the ability to find and execute the solutions that get deals done. Whether our clients are purchasing or financing: gas stations, restaurants, paper mills or energy companies; auto parts, textiles, tools, building products or chemical manufacturers; shopping malls, commercial office space or multi-family real estate, we have already seen and evaluated those and similar industry risks, and fashioned strategies for identifying, quantifying and managing the environmental liability.

SRZ counsels major institutions and Fortune 500 companies on a wide range of national and international environmental issues. We emphasize creative solutions to complex environmental problems. Whether we are counseling on preventive methods or representing our clients before local, state and federal agencies or in the courtroom, our attorneys possess the technical knowledge and legal experience to provide the best advocacy.

Since 2000, our environmental group has acted as the principal environmental counsel to the country's largest CMBS real estate lender. In that capacity, we have helped to set standards and establish practices that have become generally accepted throughout the industry. We review more that 200 transactions per year, on average, which gives us the knowledge and experience necessary to assess the issues, allocate costs and find acceptable business solutions.
