Internal Investigations

As an adjunct to our litigation practice, SRZ is frequently called upon to conduct internal investigations into alleged wrongdoing within business organizations. Those investigations may be conducted on behalf of companies, boards of directors, special committees or audit committees, and often relate to allegations of employee misconduct, accounting or other types of fraud, trading improprieties, or conflicts of interest. In some cases, SRZ is retained to represent senior executives or company directors with respect to internal investigations being conducted by others. As necessary, we retain and work closely with forensic accountants, computer specialists or others able to provide additional technical expertise and assistance. When the allegations under investigation become the subject of regulatory or criminal proceedings, or shareholder lawsuits, we continue to represent our clients in those related proceedings as well.
