Pro Bono Week
Each summer associate spends one week at a non-profit legal organization selected from among the firm's regular pro bono clients. We were the first firm in New York City to include a pro bono week in our summer program.
We have a long tradition of strong support for pro bono work. The firm does not distinguish in any respect between pro bono cases and other firm matters, and our attorneys have handled many significant matters for pro bono clients. The firm is a recipient of both the Lawyers Alliance Cornerstone Award and the President's Pro Bono Service Award for large firms awarded by the New York State Bar Association.
As part of the firm's commitment to public service, we participate in the Volunteers of Legal Service Challenge, and we sponsor a Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP Fellowship that gives a second-year law student the opportunity to complete a paid internship at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest. In addition, we fund a number of Equal Justice Works Fellowships.
