We understand that experienced lawyers want to hit the ground running with existing and new clients, which is why we make it a priority to provide lateral hires the resources they need to get up to speed quickly.
We ensure our lawyers get acclimated to the firm and its culture by providing extensive training, mentoring and other professional development programs, including mid-level and senior associate retreats; our robust SRZ in Practice in-house training curriculum; and the dynamic SRZ Mentor Network. At Schulte, responsibility is given based on merit, not class year, which means that our lawyers take on significant responsibility at all levels. The firm encourages lawyers to actively participate in business development endeavors and to build and foster relationships with their counterparts at firm clients. Our lawyers also have an opportunity to participate in a broad range of pro bono work across all practice groups, as we serve an “outside in-house counsel” role to many pro bono organizations.
Maintaining our dynamic and entrepreneurial culture is a high priority. We are very strategic in our growth in order to provide expertise in the markets where our clients need us most. With a majority of our lawyers working under the same roof, we have a boutique feel with large firm resources. A cooperative working environment means that there is open communication among lawyers at all levels at the firm, with lawyers working seamlessly across our many practices.
