Our summer program, which emphasizes training and feedback, includes a writing seminar, a corporate negotiation workshop and a trial advocacy program. Other training opportunities include in-house programs with partners and associates from various practice areas, as well as seminars designed specifically for our summer associates.
Weekly programs include many opportunities for summer associates to learn more about Schulte directly from the firm’s leadership. These sessions include “The History of the Firm” with founding partner Paul Roth, “The Business of Law” with our COO and CFO, “Ask Us Anything” sessions with the partners in charge of the summer program, and a state of the firm from our executive committee.
In addition, we believe that hands-on experience and an open-door policy are essential to successful training and development. Our lawyers regularly invite summer associates to participate in client meetings, depositions, closing and trials. These activities are not only good learning experiences, but also afford summer associates the opportunity to explore the work done by a variety of our lawyers.
