Last Known Living Survivors Added to Historic Tulsa Race Massacre Lawsuit
In a major step forward for the historic Tulsa Race Massacre lawsuit, a 76-page amended petition has been filed in the suit, adding two previously-unknown living survivors of the Massacre, featuring depositions from two of the lead plaintiffs, and marking the formal entry of appearance of several SRZ lawyers who have joined the legal team representing the plaintiffs, among other significant developments.

How and Why Schulte Signed on to the Public Nuisance Suit Over the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre
Schulte has announced that the firm has joined a legal team of civil and human rights attorneys who are suing local governments, the Oklahoma National Guard and other officials on behalf of survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, seeking to “remedy the ongoing nuisance” caused by the mob attack which leveled much of the 40-square-block Greenwood community in Tulsa, left hundreds of Black residents dead and thousands homeless.

On May 31, 1921, one of the worst acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history decimated Tulsa’s thriving, all-Black community of Greenwood, and the devastating effects of this massacre are still felt to this day.
