Schulte Advises Blackwells Capital in Cooperation Agreement with Colony Capital

Schulte represented Blackwells Capital in its cooperation agreement with Colony Capital Inc. Under the agreement, two new independent directors were appointed to the Colony board of directors. A third director, suggested by Blackwells and acceptable to Colony, will also be appointed. Colony is a Los Angeles-headquartered leading global investment management firm with $44 billion in assets under management.

The Schulte team advising Blackwells is led by Ele Klein, partner and co-chair of the global Shareholder Activism Group, associates Brandon Gold and Daniel Goldstein and former Schulte lawyer William Tevlin.
