December 2021
Schulte has provided pro bono services to Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in technology, since its formation. Working with Schulte, Ms. Saujani launched Girls Who Code in 2012. Its efforts to teach girls coding and expose them to jobs in technology have now reached over 300K girls served through in-person programming, including the Summer Immersion Program, Clubs and College Loops.
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, the Pro Bono Committee and the Women’s Affinity Group recently hosted a conversation with Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code. Ms. Saujani discussed the lessons she’s learned throughout the course of her career, from how to build a diverse and effective mission-based organization to cultivating an inclusive culture that recognizes the important role of women in the workplace.
