Schulte Secures Victory as Sanctions and Fraud Charges Are Dismissed in Major Litigation

Schulte successfully represented former Anham FZCO CEO A. Huda Farouki in a major litigation relating to alleged violations of U.S. sanctions and fraud in connection with an $8-billion contract to supply food to U.S. troops in Afghanistan. On Dec. 2, 2019, Judge Paul L. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia dismissed the indictment after the Department of Justice entered into non-prosecution agreements.
