Schulte Represents SailingStone Capital in Connection with Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. Mining Venture

Schulte is representing SailingStone Capital Partners in activism efforts in connection with Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. Turquoise Hill, a Vancouver-based mining company, will improve its collaboration with mining giant Rio Tinto to enhance corporate governance, minimize conflicts and maximize the potential of its joint venture at Mongolia’s Oyu Tolgoi mine. The announcement comes three months after shareholder SailingStone released a public letter asking Turquoise Hill to take a more active role in the mining venture. The Turquoise Hill board will also continue to review its executive compensation as per SailingStone's request.
