Schulte Represents Trian Fund Management in Nomination of Two Directors to Board of Legg Mason

Schulte successfully represented Trian Fund Management LP in its activism efforts to elect members to the board of Legg Mason Inc. The campaign resulted in additional board seats, with Trian CEO and founding partner Nelson Peltz and Ed Garden named as directors.

The Schulte team that represented Trian was led by partner and co-chair of the firm’s global Shareholder Activism Group Marc Weingarten. The team also included associates Brandon Gold, Daniel Goldstein, Abraham Schwartz and former Schulte lawyers Aneliya Crawford and William Tevlin.
