SRZ Attorneys Author Series on European Market for Secondary Loans
November 16, 2011
SRZ distressed investing attorneys contributed a two-part series to The Hedge Fund Law Report regarding trade risk specific to the European secondary loan markets. "Regulatory, Tax and Credit Documentation Factors Impacting Hedge Funds’ Trade Risk in European Secondary Loans" discusses the distressed opportunities and associated risks expected to surface as a result of the large corporate loan maturity wall in 2013-2014. Part two, "The Impact of Asymmetric Information, Trade Documentation, Form of Transfer and Additional Terms of Trade on Hedge Funds’ Trade Risk in European Secondary Loans," analyzes issues related to trading with confidential information among loan market participants and other pre-trade risks that can significantly impact investment success. The articles were authored by partner David J. Karp and former SRZ attorney Erik Schneider, with former SRZ attorney Neil Robson also co-authoring part two.
