Successful Activist Campaign at United Continental Holdings

Schulte represented Altimeter Capital Management LP in connection with a successful activist campaign at United Continental Holdings Inc., the parent company to United Airlines. Under the settlement terms, two Altimeter designees joined the United Board, with a third mutually-agreed upon independent director to be added within the next six months. In addition, United named a new chairman to its board of directors.

Co-chairs of Schulte’s global shareholder activism practice Eleazer Klein and Marc Weingarten represented Altimeter Capital Management, together with associates Brandon S. Gold and Daniel A. Goldstein.
