Trian Obtains Board Seats at Sysco

SRZ advised Trian Fund Management LP in its activist engagement with Houston-based global food distributor Sysco Corporation. A few days after Trian announced a stake in Sysco, the company added Trian’s CEO and founding partner, and a second Trian affiliate, to its board of directors. Their addition expands the board to 12 directors at Sysco, which said it values the experience and perspective Trian brings to the company.
