Schulte Partner Chris Avellaneda Quoted in FundFire

Schulte Roth & Zabel partner Chris Avellaneda recently spoke with reporter Lydia Tomkiw at FundFire on the importance of hedge fund manager preparedness for SEC examinations and upcoming rules. 

In the article, “Hedge Fund Digital Communications, Marketing in SEC Exam Crosshairs,” Chris cautioned that hedge fund managers need to address communications issues and not assume they don’t have a texting issue at their firm. “This has been an issue that has been extensively focused on. The point here is that the assertive approach has continued,” he said. 

Chris also explained the strategic guidance Schulte is providing to clients on the proposed Private Funds Rule, “We are advising our clients to be proactive in thinking about the kinds of conflicts our clients have in their businesses and to address them proactively.”
