In a recent Bloomberg article by Felipe Marques, Silla Brush and Michael Smith, Schulte Roth & Zabel partner Heather Wyckoff discussed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' fight against ESG investing.
Heather points out that, despite recent pronouncements against ESG investing, there is not a significant impact on private fund managers if Florida’s state pension plan is already not allocating to social impact funds. She also explained that “Florida’s stance really doesn’t affect most fund managers as far as how they set up the products they offer or how they invest the products they’re managing.”
