Schulte Roth & Zabel partner Kelly Koscuiszka was quoted in a recent WatersTechnology article titled “Alt Data’s Growing Pains: Integration and Aggregation Challenges Stall Wider Adoption.” Kelly spoke with reporter Max Bowie on the role and impact of alternative data and its application within hedge funds.

Kelly discussed the adoption of alt data sets, including web-scraped datasets, and their likely expansion in the industry, stating, “[w]eb scraping is becoming more common, and people are becoming more com­fortable with it. I think some of the scariness and mystery goes away as it becomes more ubiquitous.”
