CLOs in the Current Regulatory Environment
The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Securitisation 2019
June 2019
Partners Craig Stein and Phillip Azzollini co-authored the “CLOs in the Current Regulatory Environment” chapter for The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Securitisation 2019. With contributions from partner Anna Maleva-Otto and former Schulte lawyer Sanjana Nafday, the chapter discusses significant updates to certain major regulations affecting CLOs. Since the 2008 financial crisis, securitization transactions, including collateralized loan obligation (“CLO”) transactions, have been the subject of several regulations in the United States, the European Union and throughout the world. These regulations continue to evolve over time as regulators and industry participants assess the effectiveness of such regulations and the markets react to the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Securitisation is published by Global Legal Group Ltd, London. The annual guide provides the international practitioner and in-house counsel with a comprehensive worldwide legal analysis of the laws and regulations of securitization.
