Schulte Partner Stephanie Breslow Discusses How Remote Work Has Altered the Way Lawyers, Particularly Women, Work

A panel of industry-leading women reflect on what has changed for lawyers, particularly women lawyers, during the pandemic in this article with Bloomberg Law. While remote work has allowed parents the opportunity to spend more time with their at-home children, it has also presented many obstacles and burdens, which have fallen disproportionately on women. Schulte partner Stephanie Breslow noted that while remote work has been general successful for a lot of firms, she is uncertain if it is sustainable in the long-run. “We need to avoid a new work model in which all waking hours are now fair game; otherwise, flexibility will degenerate into burnout.”
