The Intersection of Environmental and Bankruptcy Laws
July 2011
Environmental laws and regulations play an increasingly important role in corporate transactions and affect a wider range of businesses from multinational corporations to mom-and-pop corner service stations. Environmental Issues in Business Transactions, published by the American Bar Association, discusses the principal state and federal environmental regulatory programs affecting business and commercial transactions and offers practical guidance on the impact of these complex requirements. SRZ partner Lawrence V. Gelber and former SRZ attorney Stephanie Blattmachr authored the chapter “The Intersection of Environmental and Bankruptcy Laws,” which examines the policies and inherent conflicts underlying environmental and bankruptcy laws.
