During law school, Wala worked as a research assistant at Georgetown University's Harrison Institute of Public Law in Washington, DC. Prior to her legal studies, Wala was a legal assistant at a law firm in Duluth, GA. Prior to that, she was a high school English teacher through Teach for America in Indianapolis, IN.
