Schulte successfully represented former Anham FZCO CEO A. Huda Farouki in a major litigation relating to alleged violations of U.S. sanctions and fraud in connection with an $8-billion contract to supply food to U.S. troops in Afghanistan. On Dec. 2, 2019, Judge Paul L. Friedman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia dismissed the indictment after the Department of Justice entered into non-prosecution agreements.

The Schulte team representing Farouki was led by litigation partner Adam Hoffinger. The team also included special counsel Jeffrey Robertson and associates Bayard Brown and Gregory J. Ketcham-Colwill.
