Hedge fund seeding brings with it a variety of structures and arrangements, as there is not a one-size-fits-all system for seed deals. Though hedge fund seeding remains an active component of the start-up market and an important part of the business, it may not be as critical to launching as it was a few years ago. The changes to the reporting requirements mandated by the amendments to the Form (“Form PF Amendments”) will require substantial preparation by many managers.[1]
