In celebration of International Women's Day, SRZ welcomed NBC News Anchor and Senior National Correspondent Kate Snow to our SRZ Speaker Series. In conversation with moderator, close friend and SRZ partner Laura Angel-Lalanne, Kate shared her journey as a burgeoning journalist, working in a media landscape dominated by men, and described how a network of female support helped her achieve professional and personal goals.

Kate spoke about the evolution of the newsroom and how a diversity of voices and perspectives has enriched the news industry, while also stressing that progress must continue. She noted that this type of change is only realized through brave leadership and paid homage to the women who came before her and used their platforms to amplify calls for equity and inclusion.

Kate also gave a nod to the female and male mentors in her life and the duty she feels to pay it forward, which she practices by providing mentorship and opportunities for other women building their lives and careers.

In addition to hosting her own digital series and podcast, “The Drink with Kate Snow,” Kate has won several Emmy Awards for her reporting on suicide prevention, public health crises and her exclusive interview with Andrea Constand, which led to the conviction of Bill Cosby.
