In a recent article by Bloomberg authors Frances Schwartzkopff and Greg Ritchie titled “Asset Managers Hit by More Bad News on Top-Ranked ESG Funds,” Schulte Roth & Zabel partner Anna Maleva-Otto discussed the potential reclassification of many Article 9 funds in the UK because of ambiguity in the EU's Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation.
According to Anna, “such a reclassification is likely to be a material issue from an investor relations standpoint, so such a decision would need to be made very carefully.”
