Zabel Announces First "Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award"

Founding partner, William D. Zabel, on behalf of The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust, announced on September 17 that Tony Kushner is the first recipient of "The Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award," the largest award ever created to honor artistic achievement in the theater. The award honors an American playwright whose body of work has made significant contributions to the American theater. It will be presented on October 21 at Loft & Garden at Rockefeller Center. Mr. Zabel is a member of the Board of Directors of The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Tr ust.
