Martin Sharkey focuses his practice on providing strategic counsel for CLO managers, investors and arrangers. He advises CLO managers on multi-currency, arbitrage, balance sheet, market value and ESG CLOs, as well as warehouse financings, collateral fund obligation transactions, CLO business acquisitions and portfolio sales. Martin is also experienced in risk retention compliance, repackagings, supply chain finance, fund finance and forward flow transactions.

Martin is listed in The Legal 500 UK as a “Leading Individual” in Finance: Securitisation and is recognised as a “Stand-out Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars, and writes on topics concerning developments in the CLO market and ESG financing. Recently, he co-authored “U.S. and EU CLOs: Market Trends and Recent Regulatory Developments” for the International Comparative Legal Guide to Securitisation 2022. Martin has participated in numerous working groups for industry bodies, including AFME and AIMA.
