Schulte Roth & Zabel has joined PENCIL’s Legal Advisory Group, which pairs the organization with prominent law firms and corporations to introduce New York City public school students to the potential benefits of a legal career. PENCIL is a New York City-based non-profit that strives to provide students with access to the relationships, skills and opportunities that support their success.
The firm is committed to creating more diversity in the legal profession by helping to broaden the pipeline into law at earlier stages in education. Our partnership with PENCIL's Legal Advisory Group will help us build significant career pathways for high school students from underserved communities.
To kick off our collaboration, PENCIL's Legal Advisory Group organized a visit to our office with students who are interested in a legal education and other career opportunities in law firms. In lively rounds of speed networking, SRZ lawyers shared key experiences from their educational paths and internships, and answered students' questions.
