Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP represented the D. E. Shaw group in its agreement with payment processing leader Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) to add a new independent director to the FIS Board of Directors. FIS also announced other steps, including initiating a comprehensive assessment of the company’s strategy, businesses, operations and structure with the goal of optimizing incremental revenue generation, margin improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
